"How long have we been going this way?" John mummbled, almost out of breath.

"About an arn. Why?" Aeryn asked.

"Oh no reason, just I don't think they would of headed this way." John muttered.

"What makes you say that?" Aeryn asks.

"We Humans... trust our guts, they tell us when we're doin somethin wrong." John explained.

"How can your guts tell you which way Chiana is?" Aeryn asked, turning around and looking at him.

"Shut up and walk!" John yelled, tired and and not really wanting to get in an arguement right now.

"Hity gron sin<click>" Aeryn muttered under her breath.

"I'm sorry, I didn't hear you."

"I said we need to get inside, day is about to break and this planet get's too hot for Sebeceans." Aeryn said.

"Sounds like a plan, then we can head back the other way. I need a break anyway." John mummbled as if he was about to die.

Zhaan and Saffron are heading for the hotel. There are a lot of people coming in and out. But no sight of peacekeeper patrol. As Saffron and Zhaan walk into the lobby. Saffron bumps into someone. She looks up and for a moment, their eyes meet. She notices his clothes. He looks like an aristocrat. There is a gold embroidered symbol of a dragon and sword on his cloak. She thinks to herself this must be a family crest. He is very tall and handsome with dark eyes and hair.

"Do I know you?" Saffron says thinking that she has met him somewhere before.

"We have never met, I would remember." He says with a smile.

"I feel I know you from somewhere." Saffron says with ashority in her voice.

"Saffron we must find a room." Zhaan said as she looks around making sure there are no peacekeepers in sight.

Saffron turns back towards the man and he is gone. She looks around the room, scanning the faces of all the people and he is no where in sight.

Saffron then remembers where she has seen the man before.

"Zhaan I know where Ive seen him, in my dreams Ive dreamt about him Im sure of it, but its not clear all I can remember is his face." Saffrons says with urgency on her face.

"Saffron how is that possible". Zhaan said curiously.

"I dont know, I really dont know." Saffron said as she still searches the crowd for the man.

Zhaan takes Saffron by the arm and says "we have to get out of the lobby before we run into any peacekeepers."

Enra woke up inside the dive she and Chiana had dipped into to hide in. The room was hardly one to concider tavern or motel like, people were asleep on the floor, on couches and large chairs. The walls still smelled like the paint images had been sprayed on though they were rather fine potrayals of planets and creatures. She rubbed her eyes as she made her way into the bar and sat down in a daze.

An overwhelmingly strong sense came over her as she looked up. The dive was underground, above her were ducts leading even farther below the citadel. Several youths sat there staring back like a pack of half drowned rats.

"What are you doing up there?" Chiana asked as she came wandering in, looking up at them sleepily as she flexed her nostils.

One of the older ones leaned out enough to grab bottles of raslack just below him. He slinked back with them, staring at Chiana and Enra for long moments.

Someone hissed. The group of ragged youths startled, slipping in to the ducts. Enra gasped as two of them came leaping onto the bar on either side of her and Chiana and then leaped for the ducts, scrambeling inside.

Chiana turned, parting her lips as she stared incredulously at a tall man bearing the emblem of a gryphon branishing a halbred on his cloak. His dark eyes were settled on Enra with greater interest. She turned, lowering her head, her emeraldic green eyes setteling on him beneath her sharp brows as she stepped beside Chiana.

The man barely smiled as he turned his attention to the table next to him and laid something down. He stepped back and moved into the next room. Chiana swayed her head, tilting it as if trying to hear something as she crept forward.

"This planet is getting wierder."

"Indeed," Enra agreed quietly as she came to the table and looked down, placing her hand on what looked almost like two daggers with a handle in the middle of them, but it was the shape of the odd device. They weren't actualy daggers, it seemed almost like something like D'argoes qualta.

"He's not in there," Chiana muttered as she came back to her and peered at the weapon as Enra picked it up. "You know how to use that? You fight like Aeryn."

"No," Enra raised an eyebrow. "It seems like many different things at once. I learned how to fight to keep the guards from me but it was my secret, since the beaten guards would be too shamed to say a female bested them ... I kept it to myself as well. When Saffron did not need me I would sneak into the kitchenries or the stables to learn the skills of the others servicing the palace and hide from her lord, Quetzal. I've seen this there ... but in a very different way."

"I - don't know what you mean," Chiana eyed her and then gave the dive a cautious look over. "Let's go, your cloaths look like you shoulda jumped into the duct with the misfits."

"Thank you," Enra glowered at her. "I don't think you and I are really so far from them."

"Yeah," Chiana smiled. "We have currency. Let's go spend it."

Zhaan and Saffron are sitting in their hotel room. Saffron swipes back her fiery red hair out of her face as she stares out the window thinking about the man she just saw, the one she saw in her dreams.

In another room in the hotel a man is remembering years before of a young red haired girl running through the forest and laughing, without a care in the world so innocent and sweet. Until one day she disappeared without a trace never to be seen again.Until now. Guri thought to himself how can this be. Should I tell her? Or should I just let her go on with her life. Maybe she is better off not knowing. Guri fingers the gold dragon and sword crest on his cloak, but it is her heritage.

"Im going to see if I can find something for us to eat". Zhaan said.

"Im not very hungry so much has been happening as of late with Enra, Quatzel, the dreams and this strange man that I seem to know. Im just so confused." Saffron said with worry in her voice.

"Child nourishment will be good for you, Ill be back soon." Zhaan said.

**********************************

Zhaan walks up to the bar and orders some food for her and Saffron. About then she hears a familiar voice. She turns and to her dismay. She is looking right at Chiana and Enra.

"Chiana we have been looking all over for you and Enra. Have you no consideration, youve put us all at risk." Zhaan said with a parental look.

As chiana sways back and forth she says. "Enra needed a breather I couldnt stand seeing her locked up like that."

Enra peers out from behind Chiana and looks at Zhaan sheepishly.

"Saffron is with me she is upstairs. I was just getting us some food. You too need to come upstairs with me. Before you stir up anymore trouble." Zhaan said.

"I dont know how Im going to face Saffron." Enra pipes in.

"The air needs to be cleared, you too need to talk. You know, what you did makes it hard for anyone to trust your motives. How do we know you wont try to contact Quatzel again." Zhaan said with concern.

"I really thought I was right, But now Im not so sure." Enra said feeling very confused and still a little woozy from her alcohol consumption.

Zhaan, Chiana, and Enra go upstairs to the room. But when they get their Saffron is not there. Saffron thinks to herself I shouldnt be doing this, I should have stayed in the room. Zhaan is going to be very upset with me. But I have to find this mysterious man. Saffron goes to the bar and starts asking questions.

"Excuse me bar keep have you seen a tall man with dark hair wearing a cloak with a gold dragon and sword symbol on it?" Saffron asks.

"I havent seen anyone who fits that description." The bar keep says as he looks from side to side.

Then he says. "For a price I might be able to point you in the direction of someone who can help you."

"All I have is this pendant that has been in my family for centuries." Saffron says as she starts to hand him a silver 4 star pendant with a flat orange stone pressed in behind the silver stars. About then a hand reaches past her and stops her from giving the man the pendant.

"Here we go! A..." John stopped his sentence as he noticed that the hotel wasn't what he thought it was. He stopped Aeryn before she could turn the corner, and he poked his head around to confirm what he thought he saw. A garage, with a Murader parked in it.

"Company." Aeryn whispered as she hit the back of her head against the fence, as if to say their frelled. John also leaned against it. He took in a deep breath and closed his eyes, and began to think: PKs... Sebeceans... Cousins to Humans... Identicle... Pk uniforms.

"I gotta plan" He said as he turned to face Aeryn.

"Ohh, YOU have a plan. Do you remember what went wrong with your LAST plan?" She complained.

"No, actually I don't. Do you?" John asked slowly. Aeryn just sat there staring at him. She knew most of his plans were bad, but she couldn't remember when the last one was, or how it turned out. The suns were beginning to rise, and she felt sweat on her.

"It.. it must be the beginnings of heat dilerium." She said while looking for a building. But the only building around was the one the PKs were going into. Crichton thought now was a good time to execute his plan. He drug Aeryn out from around the corner, with Wynona out and against her.

"HEY YOU!" Two of the PKs yelled as they ran up to Crichton and drew their pistols. Crichton dropped Wynona, threw Aeryn against the wall, and grabbed the closest PKs arm while throwing him against the fence. Crichton immediately turned and punched the other one in the face. As he hit the ground, Crichton yelled at him...

"RANK AND REGIMENT!"

"I'm Private Baron, Juniszian Regiment!" The nervious Pk cried out on the ground.

"Private, you just assaulted a captain! Captain Larraq!" Crichton yelled at him. The PKs came front and center to him. They quickly apologised and begged for fogivness. Two privates were just what Crichton had needed. "I'm escorting this captured prisoner to Scorpius, and your lousy judgement has delayed me even more time!"

"Officer Sun! The traitor!" One of the privates reconize.

"SHUT UP! EYES LOCKED!" Crichton screamed at them more.

"Sir, permission to ask freely, sir."

"Um... yes?" Crichton became a little more nervous, questions weren't what he wanted.

"You weren't on the Murader... how did you get here?"

"I chased her down in a Prowler, brought her to this planet. NO MORE QUESTIONS, GET ME A ROOM!!!!" Crichton yelled the loudest he had at them. They both quickly escorted the two into the hotel that the garage was connected to.

Back at the hotel and down in the bar. Saffron is face to face with the man she is looking for, he looks at her smiles and says.

"You dont have to do that youve found me. Its almost sunrise, lets go somewhere and talk shall we." Guri says to Saffron as he gently brushes her hair back from her face.

"Yes we do need to talk." Saffron says feeling a bit uncomfortable.

They go to a dimly lit table in the corner of the bar and sit down. Through one of the windows Saffron could see the rays of light starting to shine through on to the floor.

Saffron utters nerviously as she looks around the room. "You know I thought there was only one bar in town."

"What are you talking about." Guri said curiously as he leans in closer to hear what she is saying.

Saffron keeps messing with her hair. Its something she has always done when she gets nervious. She wont meet Guris gaze. She is suddenly feeling very conscious of being female and being looked at. She is not sure she likes how that makes her feel.

Guri noticing that Saffron is very uncomfortable says.

"Im sorry for staring, its just, its been so long. Your more beautiful now then."

Guri stops himself.

"How do you know me, how do I know you. Im so confused Ive dreamt of you. But I dont remember the dreams. Just your face." Saffron said.

"Saffron what do you remember about your family?" Guri said.

"Well I remember seeing them slaughtered in the streets, murdered by Quatzel. Thats what I remember." Saffron said with sadness and anger in her voice.

"Saffron everything that you think you know or things that you have seen are lies. Lies created by Quatzel to make you feel hopeless so he could have control over you." Guri said.

**************************************

"Who are you how do you know all of this. I know what I saw. What do you mean everything I have seen and know is a lie." Saffron said with disbelief.

"Saffron my name is Guri, I was assigned to be your body guard and I was for many years until you disappeared. The people who you saw murdered were not your family. You were made to believe they were. Your real family is still alive. They are in hiding. After you disappeared I felt like a failure because I wasnt able to protect you. I thought, we all thought you were dead. Your father is a forgiving man and he forgave me, but I was not able to forgive myself. So I left and wondered from planet to planet until our chance meeting of last night. Your death has haunted me since that day." Guri spoke all of this to Saffron with tears as he stared into her green cat like eyes.

"Saffron you have never been out of my thoughts, my happiness is over flowing at the sight of your lovely face." Guri said with a gental smile.

"I can't stand this," Enra shook her head with her gentle statement to the floor. "She won't talk to me, she's not going to even when I catch up with her again."

"Dear child," Zhaan smiled as she folded her hands around Enra's shoulders and looked to her. "Then that is her is it not? It's your own feelings you must struggle with, not Saffron's."

"She may never forgive me ..."

"Then she doesn't," Zhaan mused. "Did you deny your betrayal?"

"No." Enra curled a nostril, looking up to Zhaan with one winced eye, gazing at her with a question she didn't ask.

"Only someone who doesn't know remorse would never seek to be forgiven." Zhaan smiled patiently as she sat down. "There is no compassion without guilt. I understand cruelty Enra. I have been ruthless and cruel as much as I have recieved the same cruelty from the torture and imprisonment of PeaceKeepers. I forgive them, because I also understand I wish to release them from myself. I have only my own actions to account for with Khalynn. Goddess forgive me. I have caused pain without mercy, tortured, assassinated and you're just a child with one mistake ... would you betray Saffron, again?"

Enra shook her head with a lost, distant look as she sat. "I - I believed he would find us ... he was the lord of the palace Zhaan. I had done stranger things - darker things to guard us both, ensure safety. I - I've forgotten what it is like to not have him standing over our heads. No. I'll never betray Saffron. I'll kill Quetzal if I have to. If I could have done that without being forced to leave my lady's side ..."

Enra turned gravely to the bed in the room. She touched the wood of it's post, looking miserably on at nothing as the wood began to make cracking sounds. The fine cracks began to glow, within moments branches began to sprout, leaves budded. She withdrew her hand as roots began to force into the floor boards. "I only hoped those who believed the truer path would find us ... help us. It's too late now. We'll never get to go home again."

She drew to her knees, burying her face into her hands as she cried.

Aeryn layed in the corner of the room handcuffed. She was like a ragged doll tossed around by a doverman pincher. Her hair a mess... she was wimped, beatin. The PKs found it normal to beat and interrogate a traitor... but there was no interrigation for Aeryn, it was an immusment so they could pass the time. Crichton layed back on his cot giving the PKs an evil eye. He and Aeryn did not get their own room, one big room was shared by all the Peacekeepers. It was then and there where they assaulted Aeryn. No-one noticed Captain Larraq's angered facial expression, they just thought it was a normal thing for him, and they continued to talk about how many and what kinds of aliens they killed, every once in a while walking over to Aeryn, kicking her or syking her out with a fake backhand. John held much hatred to these PKs for what they were doing to Aeryn... but he had an inter conflict, because it was his bad idea that got Aeryn into this situation. She would look up at him everyonce in a while as to say "Help me", but he couldn't, if he did their cover would be blown, and she responded back with a evil eye of her own, and would lower her head back down into the corner. John would try to forgive himself by remebering that it was high noon now, and that temperatures were 160 degrees... it was the only way to save Aeryn's life to play PK... but this was still just as bad as the torture of heat dilerium. John layed down and closed his eyes... and quickly fell asleep...

"John... John..." A voice called out from the darkness... fog all over the ground.

"Scorpy, what... how the!!!" John yelled as the figure came outta the darkness.

"Don't worry, John. I'm not here to harm you, but to help you." Scorpius said.

"I remember you! Your Harvey... that chip Scorpius shoved in my head!!!"

"Ahhh, to bad you won't remember that when we're done here." The chip responded.

"Let me outta here... I WANNA WAKE UP!" John screamed, slapping himself.

"Crichton, why do you think the Peacekeepers our here?"

"YOU CALLED THEM HERE???!!!" John screamed at him.

"<sighs sarcsaticly> No dummy, think. Why would they be on this Pleasure Planet out of all places."

"<John scruggs his shoulders> To get layed? Why most of us come here."

"No! Remember the last time we met? You and my worst enemy."

"<John thinks for a second> Hot guy. Scarran."

"EXACTLY!" The chip says as it shakes it's figure and walks around John. "The Scarrans plan to invade this planet and use it as a base against the Peacekeepers," The chip walks up behind John, "...So we have gotten here first."

"Hurry up! What's ya point." John mummbles.

"MY POINT... is that very very soon the Scarran Armada consisting of three Scarran Dreadnaughts and other highpowered vessels will approach this planet, and the Peacekeepers Navy will also be waiting for them... and when this has all come to pass... this planet will no longer be on the celletrial map."

"And you want me to go with the Peacekeepers, keep on playing Larraq until Scorpius get a hold of me."

"No no, not yet. I haven't finished my job. You have a very intricate mind, you Humans. It'll take more time. I'll allow you to wake up from this dream... not remembering a thing except that the Scarrans are on their way and you must get off and away from this planet."

John sits up quickly from his nightmare... gasping and sweating.

"Sir, are you all right Captain?" One of the private look at him.

"Yeah, yes... have you ever had one of those dreams when you can't remember what your dreamt... but you knew what it was about??" Larraq asked.

"Um... no sir."

"Saffron you were born with exceptional abilities. Most females of your Elvin species are not born with." Guri stops.

"Born with what?" Saffron says as she looks intently at Guri.

"Lets just say you are unique. One in a million, so to speak. It is usually the Elvin men who have your special talents". Guri pauses as he looks around the room.

"I think I should take you back to your room." Guri said as he sees a group of peacekeepers walk into the bar.

As Saffron and Guri enter her room the first person she sees is Enra. She is still angry with her and looks away.

"Hey girl we were getting worried." Chiana said as she looks past her at guri and looks him up and down and smiles.

"Saffron do you know how dangerous that was, something could have happened to you. By the way who is this man?" Zhaan said scoldingly.

"This is the man I was telling you about. He has the answers that I have unknowingly been seeking for many years." Saffron said.

Guri steps forward and introduces himself. About then Enra drops the weapon that was given to her and Chiana. It hits the floor with a load ringing.

"Let me see that I know that weapon. Where did you get it?" Guri spoke with surprise.

Enra picks it up and hands it to him.

"A man," Enra shook her head. "He was dressed as you but his emblem was a Griphian."

"I see," Guri spoke quietly as he touched the wooden post half grown with branches and roots.

Enra lowered her head as she sat down. "I will trouble you no more - my Lady Saffron. There is no excuse. I did what I thought was the right thing by the way we have always lived on, no matter how wrong that was now ... I had not thought we ... would truly leave our world. That you would - leave even the heart of our true belief behind for rebellion to fend its own without your voice to soothe them."

Saffron glanced at her angrily, sharpening her brows as she turned her attention to a perfume glass on a chest of dwars and touched it. "And what good am I to such as those things Enra, if I am perfectly sat on by Quetzal?" She spoke sharply in her anger as she twisted the delicate glass vile in her fingertips.

"So ..." Chiana smirked with a raised eyebrow as she sat facing the back of a chair and rested her hands on its knobs. "You betray each other."

Saffron looked to her. "Audacity! I'd never!"

"Yeah," Chiana cooed as she tilted her head. "But Enra feels betrayed you'd leave the whole planet besides Quetzal. So what does she do ... try to get you back there? That's pretty frelled."

"Mmm," Zhaan agreed quietly, "I recall John trying to sedate you Chiana, to keep you from leaping into a PeaceKeeper sound net on a Hynerian grave planet. We could have just as easily left you there. But you took the stone despite his great efforts, and returned to us safely, dare I even say given new understandings by your experience."

Guri hands the weapon back to Enra thoughtfully and says. "Our people rarely give up a weapon, this was meant as a gift of friendship, and this emblem, I know it but I can't put my finger on it".

Enra takes the weapon back and starts to say something as she glances at Saffron, then decides "I'm in enough trouble I'd better say nothing."

"I need to leave now your going back to your ship and that is probably the way it should be". Guri said with sadness in his voice.

"There is so much I still need to know, like my real family, I don't want you to leave". Saffron says with an urgency in her voice.

Guri touches her face and says. "My sweet Saffron, I have to leave now, you must be strong. I promise we will find each other again very soon, as for your family I do not know where they are, as it should be. They are safer that way". Guri kisses her gently on the forhead and turns and leaves.

John ran around the corner of the deserted streets, not noticing that he was tugging the beatin Aeryn like a prisoner. She whipped away from him, punched him in the face, and grabbed both sides of his head. She was in the perfect position, one twist and the Human that destroyed her life would be just another mugged Sebecean dead on the streets of a pleasure planet, but something kept her from doing it... some feeling... and she kicked him in the chest instead and hobbled off the best she could. John hit the ground gasping for air, and began to crawl after Aeryn, and was making good pace for he could crawl the same speed poor Aeryn could run, and she hit the ground unconscience. The rain started to fall, a rare thing on any planet in the uncharted territories, an John crawled over to Aeryn. He didn't know much about Sebeceans, but he knew that being cold blooded also meant danger from not only heat but cold, and he dragged her out of the rain and agianst a metal object, thought to be a wall. He sat there, thinking to himself what and idiot he was, you've ruined this girls life, she's beaten within an inch of her life and it's all your fault, all your stupid plan, never plan again you idiot...
By that time he was unaware that Aeryn was awake, and that he was thinking allowed. Aeryn sat up against the metal,

"Yeah, never plan again." She agreed as she looked at him. A smirk appeared on John's face, but it quickly turned into a frown as he looked off into his mind...

"What?" Aery asked, "WHAT?"

"Scarran." John anwered as he turned around and felt the metal object. "This is a Scarran Scoutship!!!" he yelled as a Scarran turned around a corner, growled and knocked them both unconscience with heat waves.

------------------------------------------------------------

The prowler and the transport pod flew into Moya. Zhaan and Saffron walked into command, followed by Chiana and Enra.

"Great, you found the traitor!" Rygel barked.

"Shut up!" D'Argo and Zhaan yelled.

"D'Argo, we need your assistance." Zhaan said with worry.

"With what?"

"We need your nose. You have noticed a distinct difference in smell from Sebeceans and Humans, and we've looked everywhere. There is no sign of John and Aeryn, only John's module."

"I am a Luxan, not a blood tracker." D'Argo exclaimed.

"Yes, but for our purposses you will do." Zhaan answered. Chiana thought back to the bar they were in...

"I think... I think I know someone who could help." Chiana stated.

"Jowales," he said over the portal screen as the crew gathered into the command center. "He had that. I've seen him in my establishment."

The man indicated to the weapon Enra held up to him as Chiana narrowed her eyes on the Nebari barkeep. "Thanks Fergin. What we really need right now is how we might find our friends John and Aeryn."

"Aye that," he muttered as he scratched at his beard with a thoughtful look. "Well there is talk the PeaceKeeper's are in some embarrising trouble for letting a prisoner get away from them by the hands of a man only posing as an officer. I'd put my bank on it was them. Since then there is a small Scarren sanction here that took over a few streets of sector Riban from PeaceKeeper durisdiction. Now, If I were supposing, I'd say they are in the Scarren durisdiction about now."

"Wonderful," Chiana muttered to herself with a tock of her head.

"This time you stay," D'argo stated as he motioned to Enra and Chiana.

"I don't think so," Chiana looked to him quietly. "They could be captured. We'll all have to look if we're ever going to find them. I saw some undergrounders who might help us search if I ask them."

"Not this time," D'argo shook his head. "I think you and Enra have caused enough problems with her little escape."

"Oh," Chiana smirked at the floor. "Well, let me just go put her back in her cage and rot there."

"That would suit me just fine for a traitor," D'argo stated flatly as he raised his head.

Chiana took Enra by her hand, eyeing D'argo as she walked passed him. "D'argo, we're going, and we're helping find John and Aeryn. So ... kiss my grits." She smiled with a sway of her head.

Enra buried her hand into her face, saying nothing as she followed with Chiana into the docking bays.

John groaned softly. He tried to shake his head to clear it, but his muscles just didn't seem to want to work. He tried to open his eyes. Nothing. He realized that it was possible his eyes *were* open.

"Ah! I'm blind!," he said in a rather squeaky voice that didn't sound quite like his own.

"Relax, John, you're not blind. You're also not conscious."

"Harvey," John sighed.

"Now is that any way to greet a friend?" Harvey came into view under a spotlight like some bizarre circus master.

"Oh, yeah, I forgot. Sorry."

"Well, isn't this a fine mess you've gotten us into?"

"Me?!"

"Well, it *was* your plan..." Harvey let out a long-suffering sigh. "It doesn't matter. We have to get you out of this. I can't afford to lose that precious brain of yours. Now listen, you have been captured by Scarrens - "

"No, really?" John interrupted sarcastically.

Harvey grinned indulgently. " - and you are restrained. That is why you couldn't move your head. This is going to be a little tricky. You have to follow my directions precisely, John, this is important."

Harvey looked around conspiratorily. "But I guess I'll have to tell you later. I have to go now."

"Hey, wait, you can't just - " A searing pain interrupted John's thoughts. White-hot pain spreading from his ribcage to his groin. He screamed. Dimly in the background he could hear the Scarrens laughing.

"Wake up, Sebacean cur!"

John pretended to be passed out. Maybe they would go away for a while. Harvey could come back and -

"Ahhh!" The pain agian, more insistent. The Scarrens were'nt buying this. He cracked an eye open and saw two huge Scarren males staring at him, cackling at his weakness.

"Where's Aeryn?" he asked, disoriented.

"Your feee-male?" The Scarren responded mockingly. "Don't worry, she is being well cared for.

The laughter of the Scarrens echoed hauntingly.

A swift punch in the face by one of the Scarrans sends John dazing. He's able to hear one of them yelling to the other to release the restraints, before he passes out.
John slowly recovers conscience, though still fully restrained and still blind he's able to hear the hissing of a Scarran on the other side of the room, along with a humming noise and other mechanical sounds.

"...Both Sebeceans are unique specimens. Full examination of the female Sebecean shows top physical capability of this species and gender, minus the fact that the female seems to have seen some extreme action judging from scratches and scars, and the recreation of our soilders. Dioxirino nucleaic acid tests prove that the female has some... traces of pilot DNA. What purposes and how are unknown, but similar activity seems to have been found in the male. The male is also in top physical condition, minus recreation of our soilders. <growl> DNA tests result repeadably that the Sebecean is not average, yet no DNA sequence for any alien has been identified. There is an addition of a gland to regulate heat, and an unfamiliar nueral formation, increasing intelligence capability. Obviously the male is a superior Sebecean than we have ever seen. Yet, there is a sensitivity to Ultraviolet light which would result in a dramatic loss of natural life span... possibly a side effect of my hypothosis: The female is an effort to combine Sebecean and Pilot DNA to result in a Sebecean more fit and capable for Leviathan Transport commanding. The male is a result of genetic reconstruction to produce a better Peacekeeper to confront us. If so, we have no idea how many more of these Sebceans our out there..."

"He's catching onto us John." Harvey stated.

"I didn't even understand half of what he said." John mummbled.

"Ahhh, this is very important. That voice has been identified as Moxlin. He's a Scarran mercanary. When the Peacekeepers were hired to assist someone, they might also hire Moxlin. That way, the Peacekeepers and Moxlin got to know eachother. Moxlin is the only Scarran we trust."

"Then why is he helping the bad guys." John asked.

"Unknown. He's also a brilliant scientist. He once told us that he beleived that Sebeceans and Scarrans would benefit both greatly if we co-operated. So stay close to him, if his ways of thinking are still the same, little harm will come to you." Harvey answred.

Saffron still not able to get Guri out of her mind but also constantly aware of the danger their all in looks around to see if their are any Scarrens or peacekeepers near by. So far so good. But she knows that they must find John and Aeryn soon or it will be too late. Zhaan hands Saffron a pulse rifle. She almost drops it because of the weight. She's never held one before much less used one.

"What am I supposed to do with this". Saffron said with a look.

D'Argo pipes in. "You shoot it, don't forget to take the safety off".

D'Argo shows her how to use the pulse rifle

"It's easy you point and shoot, but just don't aim it at any of us". D'Argo says with his usuall grawl.

"Let's see what Chiana found out from the barkeep". D'Argo said not particularly likeing the way Chiana was getting her information.

Saffron starts to sweat and says. "Hey guys is it getting hot in her to you".

"Scarren". D'Argo says as he looks around the room.

Aeryn was tired. Tired, hurting, and just plain pissed off. She was tired of this charade. She was tired of taking the abuse of the Scarrens. She was hurting from their fun and from Crichton's apalling lack of fortitude in getting them the frell out of here. She was pissed at the Scarrens for hurting her, at herself for letting them, and most of all at John for letting them.

She had to find a way out of here. And when she found it, she was going to have a long, probably painful, talk with Crichton. Painful for him, anyway.

She looked around her. Still dazed and reeling from the heat, her hair all in her face, she could just make out the chamber surrounding her. She was bound and chained to a post in the corner. Her clothes were in rags, nearly raked from her body by the Scarren examiners' claws. There were three thick metal-alloy walls and a wall that was all metal-alloy bars with part of it serving as a door.

And just out of reach outside those bars, the keys to the cell hanging around the neck of the guard dozing off in his chair.

****************************************

"Are you sure he's on our side?"

"As sure as I can be, John."

"That's not very comforting, Harvey."

"It wasn't meant to be. I'm not your mother. My job is to help you get out of this mess, not to coddle you."

"Gee, thanks." John paced in the corner of his mind. He had to figure this out. Harvey only knew what Scorpy had known at the time of the implant. Who knows what could have changed since then? He didn't trust Harvey as far as he could throw him, but since both of their survival depended on John's escape, he figured Harvey would be as helpful as possible here.

"I must take your leave now, John. I can feel the heat - they're coming. I will return."

"Wa - " The searing pain interrupted him again.

"Wake up, Sebacean scum!" The voice was Moxlin's. "There's someone here to see you."

John gradually came to, assisted by the repeated strikes to his ribs and abdomen.

"What do you want? I have nothing to say to you, Godzilla."

The other Scarren, the one John didn't recognize, backhanded him across the face. Then he turned to Moxlin.

"Moxlin, you dimwitted moron! This is no Sebacean! Has your nose become as inefficient as your brain? Perhaps you need another transfer?"

"N-no, Sir, uh, Captain Kozak. I-I knew he was different. But he looks Sebacean..." Moxlin peered at Crichton closely.

"He is no Sebacean! I would like to know what he is, however. Find out. Use the Hezmat, use your powers of persuasion, use whatever is necessary. But find out."

"Y-Yeds, Sir," Moxlin stammered.

Kozak stalked out of the room. Moxlin gave Crichton a curious glance. He walked to the door, looked around furtively, then returned to Crichton. He pulled out a very long blade. John gulped audibly, but instead of descending to his flesh, the blade came down on his bonds.

"Come on, we don't have much time."

A Scarran turned into the room and stepped back startled. He attacked with his heat.

"AAAAAHHH!!!!!!" Enra screamed as she pulled her arm away from the heat. Saffron pushed her down in time to save her life, and D'Argo impaled the Scarran on his blade.

"Oh ENRA!" Saffron wined as she looked at her arm. Chiana came scambling down on her knees in front of Enra. Her arm was covered in blisters. Zhaan rushed down by Enra's side.

"I will try to ease the pain." Zhaan stated as she touched Enra. Her screaming turned into wimpers. Chiana looked up at Saffron.

"Do something." Chiana said.

"I... I can't." Saffron said with tears in her eyes.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?"

"Girls, we need to get going." D'Argo growled as he tried to push the remains of the Scarran of his blade with his boot. "And next time, shoot the rifle."

--------------------------------------------------------

John hit the ground. He was unable to move for a few seconds, but then struggled onto his knees. Moxlin grabbed the back of his neck to help him up.

"I am sorry for the treatment Crichton. I tried to fool them with a false log, but unfortinately your smell proves to be a dead give away." Moxlin stated. Crichton slowly took the sharp object out of Moxlin's hand, and then quickly pushed him against the wall and subconstiencely put the intrument up to where Moxlin's heat gland is.

"Give me... ONE REASON!!!... I sho.. shouldn't kill you, here." John muttered.

"Because I am the only one who can get you out of here alive."

John hesitates.. "I'm not leaving without Aeryn." He stated.

<ggrrr> "The feeemale is probably already raped. We... will look anyways."

SNNNIIFF SSSSSSNIIIIIIFFFFFFF

D'Argo turned corners in the endless maze of the allyways of the city, he abroptly stopped and turned around to Zhaan.

"This is hopelss." D'Argo wined.

"By the way your always complaining about Crichton's smell you should be able to find him quickly. Now continue." She answered.

"No, Humans have a common smell with another creature. A Veltuxi, an abundant insect on this frelling planet and they're throwing me off!" D'Argo yelled.

"Would you just shut up and get moving?!" Enra screamed. D'Argo pulled out his qualta blade an slammed Enra against a wall. Enra yelped like a dog would...

"I HAVE NO CLUE WHERE TO LOOK!!!" D'Argo screamed. Saffron quickly stepped forward and D'Argo flew back agaisnt the other wall. About the time D'Argo hit the ground, the wall that Enra had leaned against began to cave in, and she fell back into and dark room. Chiana ran to help her, turning on a flashlight she notices serveral crates.

"It's a storage room." Chiana stated

"A Scarran storage room." Zhaan added.

They all go inside. Saffron takes the scarf off of her neck and gentley raps it around Enra's arm. Enra wimpers. "It needs to stay covered". Saffron said as she looks at Enra with compation.

Enra looks at Saffron with tears in her eyes and says. "Saffron I am so sorry, I was so misguided, I betrayed my one true friend. I hope that someday you will be able to forgive me. I will spend the rest of my life if I have to to earn your trust again".

"Enra I am still angry, but back there I thought I was going to loose you, and it made me think of how much you mean to me. Enra you just have to give me time, the wounds are still fresh in my mind. Just give me some time". Saffron said as she looked down at Enra and she smiled.

D'Argo looks around the room. "We are safe for the time being, but for how long I do not know".

Suddenly everyone get's quite. They hear footsteps. D'Argo raises his Qualta blade. And the rest raise their weapons.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Someplace safe. Well, as safe as you can get around here. I -"

E'lara stopped suddenly, sniffing the air. Her muzzle peeled back to reveal her sharp teeth. She growled, a surprisingly menacing sound coming from such a small being.

Aeryn immediately took a defensive stance, her eyes trying to go everywhere at once.

"What is it? What do you smell?"

E'lara growled again, higher-pitched this time. Her ears were flat against her head and her pupils were dilated in the gloom of the corridor. The only sound Aeryn heard was the 'swish' of E'alara's tail as it moved back and forth in agitation.

"I smell...a Luxan. I don't like Luxans."

"A Luxan? Here?"

"Yes. Just around that corner, somewhere near the storage room where we were headed. There's a hidden exit to the wilds outside underneath one of the panels in the floor."

E'lara began stalking foreward. Aeryn followed right next to her. They rounded the corner. E'lara moved to attack as she saw a huge shifting form in the darkeness.

"Stop! E'lara, stop, I know him!"

"Aeryn? Is that you?" the deep voice boomed.

"You have no idea how glad I am to see you!"

"You know this...this...being?" E'lara asked dubiously.

"Yes," Aeryn said with a grin. She clasped D'argo's arm. To him, she said, "We must get Crichton out. I may kill him myself after we do, but I'd at least like the chance."

"Where were you? We've been looking all over for you?" Chiana poked her head around the corner.

"You have company, I see," Aeryn observed. At D'argo's nod, she continued. "We were captured and taken by the Scarrens. They have a ship hidden here. E'lara and I left through one of the service hatches."

"What about guards? How did you get past them?" Zhaan asked curiously.

"E'lara here is a very efficient fighter. And there were only two at that hatch."

"So, what about John? Are they going to hurt him now? What are we going to do? We need to help him - "

"Chiana, slow down," D'argo admonished the Nebari. He looked at Aeryn, his brow raised questioningly.

"Well, now that we're all together, maybe we have a chance to get him out before they kill him." Aeryn ran her hand through her hair distractedly. "The thing is, I don't know where they were keeping him..."

Chiana put her hand on Aeryn's arm comfortingly. "We'll find him."

Moxlin and Crichton walk up to the guard blocking the exit to the facility. The guard steps infront up them.

"Where are you going?" The guard asks.

"I'm... taking this prisoner to Captain Kozak." Moxlin answered

"Why is he not shackeld?" The guard asks.

"Um...." Moxlin turned to John.

"Oh.. Why did you miss my birthday, Daddy?" Crichton asks the guard with wide eyes.

"Um... hezmat beam was set to the wrong frequency for his species... ermm.. resulting in permenit brain damage." Moxlin added.

"<grrrrrrr>" The guard steps forward to examine John.
"NO! THIS IS MY SIDE! STAY ON YOUR SIDE! MY SIDE, YOUR SIDE, MY SIDE, YOUR SIDE, MY SIDE, YOUR SIDE!!!!" Chrichton yelled. The guard pushed Crichton threw with a sove and Moxlin followed. The door opened and Crichton found himself in a giagantic hangar littered with Scarrans. Crichton stood there in fear. He had never been around so many Scarrans before, without them all wanting to kill him. At that time Moxlin pushed him forward and they passed the scoutships and light-armored cruisers into another door, the east wing where Aeryn had been kept.

"What do you mean, she's not here?!" Crichton whispered viciously.

"Apparently, there was a fight and an escape. Only a short while ago, too. We will be going to lock-down soon, so if we're going to go, we'd better do so now. We can't use the escape I had planned; that's blocked off now. We'll have to find another way."

The Scarren was clearly upset and worried. He had planned this all out and now everything was going wrong. He pawed at the floor with his powerful hind legs.

"What if she comes back for me? I know she'll try to come back."

"The only way she could have escaped is if E'lara managed to help her. I know a place we could go to get a message to her letting her know we are safe."

"Who's E'lara?" John asked, confused.

"She's everything," Moxlin said with a gutteral laugh. "A rebel, a mercenary, whatever. She hates Peacekeepers and she hates Scarren."

"She hates Scarren? Then why was she in there?"

"She was acting as a serving girl for whatever reason of her own, which she did not share with me. But she has helped me before, and I have helped her. It is a mutually beneficial relationship."

Two guards walked past. John did his best impression of a mind-frelled idiot. Aeryn would have asked him why that was different fron his normal personality. Thinking of Aeryn made his heart ache. He had to get out of here and find her...

"Come on, we gotta go," he said to Moxlin after the guards passed.

"This way," Moxlin gestured.

"We are not prepared to go in there after Crichton." D'Argo stated.

"Prepared? FRELL! D'ARGO YOUR A LUXAN, YOU DON'T PREPARE FOR A FIGHT YOU JUST BLAST YOUR WAY INTO IT!!!" Aeryn screamed. E'lara had leaned back and put here ears down to the high pitch of Aeryn's yelling voice.

"ARE YOU CRITIZING ME?" D'Argo asked.

"THE FRELL I AM CRIT..." Aeryn continued with her sentence as D'Argo try's to talk over her.

"KEMA TOO H'TIN KAR'TA!!!..."
"YIN TRYSIN AR <click> ROYY!!!!!!..." Areyn shouted back.
D'Argo dropped his blade and began to approach Aeryn still shouting. E'lara jumped infront of Aeryn snarling to defend her, and Saffron jumped in front of D'Argo to keep him from killing Aeryn.

"CHILDREN!" Zhaan screamed. "Such bickering will not help us find John. D'Argo is right, we will need more weapons if we will attempt to rescue him."

Chiana had been shaking ever since Enra fell through the wall. The yelling of D'Argo and Aeryn hadn't helped much. She was afraid. Afraid for herself, afraid for Enra, and afraid for John. At the end of Zhaan's words, Chiana's shaking legs couldn't hold her anymore, and she collapsed on one knee to steady herself.

"He... Crichton would be dead by the time we get back." She muttered as she hung her head to her side and smirked to cover up the tremendous amount of worry she felt.

"Maybe so, but going in now means certain death." E'lara whined, her tail tucked between her legs.

"Oh, your on their side now?" Aeryn asked sarcaticly to her.

"I, I can only tell you what will happen for sure." E'lara whispered.

"Nothing is certain. We are all just making this up as we go." Chiana observed.

"Look," E'lara sighed. "I'm not supposed to mention this. If any of you gets caught, what you don't know can't be tortured out of you."

The thought of Scarren torture quieted everyone.

"But...Crichton may be safer than you think. He has a friend in an unlikely place. Perhaps that friend has succeeded in helping him. The best we can do is go sniff around and see if their scent is outside."

"That's it? That's all we're going to do?!" Aeryn was visibly trembling trying to control herself.

E'lara went over the much taller woman and took her chin in her hand gently. Aeryn's eyes focused on the diminutive form before her. E'lara's eyes blazed. Her voice was soft, yet firm and filled with steel.

"We WILL find him. I promise you."

"Moya has picked up many ships in the area. They are not approaching, but we are very scared. Starburst is our only means of escape... but we would never abandon you." Pilot explained.

"Thanks for backing me up." Rygel hissed sarcasticly.

<Gives us a weeken and we will be back and ready for starburst. Saffron is coming up for weapons. Out.> D'argo stated. "We don't have much time." He explained to Zhaan.

"Saffron, are you sure you can pilot this?" Chiana asked.

"Of course." She replied as she strapped herself into the transport pod. "How difficult can it be?"

"<sigh>, If you're as clueless to bio-mech tech as Crichton, you won't be able to get this off the ground." Aeryn stated as she climbed up and unbuckled Saffron, throughing her into the co-pilot seat while she sat down where Saffron had been. "E'lara, stay here with Enra. Make sure she stays out of trouble. Oh, and do whatever D'Argo tells you."

E'lara watched as the transport pod took off.

The revolving door opened, and Fergin leaned back against the bar as a crew of miss matched aliens walked in. They appeared no more dissimilar to the rest of the bar, only when outside would they seem suspicious. Of course, Fergin reconised his sister-in-blood and her pointed eared friend, and immediately, yet so very casually set them up ras'laks.

Chiana sat up happier than she had been, nipping her head around with the giggle that had so very well tagged her the Earth name "Pip". Fergin moved his eyes over to Enra, who was staring at him with a cool ease, as her ear gave a quick twitch as to agknowlege him.

"Ok, what did you do now." Fergin asked.

"Crichton's kidnapped by Scarrans." Chiana replied quickly, as casual as she had been

Fergin took his arms down from their crossed position and he took the wash-rag and a glass and began to polish it.

"He's already dead." Fergin crudly replied.

"If it's one thing I've learned, never underestimate a Human, no matter how much they don't make since." Chiana zinged back.

"There's nothing I can do for you." Fergin said. Chiana turned her head out at the window, staring into the darkness of the night and motioned her head. At that time D'Argo and E'lara walk in and stand behind the two, as to intimidate. "There is still nothing I can do." Fergin said as he set down the glass and turned his back on them.

"Let's wait at the landing pad. The transport pod should be getting back soon." D'Argo said as he turned to walk out.

--------------------------------------------------------

"You'll never need all those weapons." Rygel tried to coach.

"Pardon me for saying so your immenense..." Saffron droped her handful of rifles into the pod, "... but kiss my ass."

"THANK YOU!" Aeryn said as she slid on a new, unripped tanktop. She loaded up into the transport and buckeld up. As Saffron began to walk up the ramp and into the pod, Rygel grabbed her arm.

"Don't come back in more than one peice just for the Human." Rygel hissed as seriously as we could ever here him say. Saffron leaned foward.

"Believe me, I'm not."

-----------------------------------------------------------

The transport pod arrived, and D'Argo ran up to help unload. Basically, everyone could carry a rifle, and if they we're lucky, a pulse pistol for back up. Most of the wapons they brought stayed in the pod.

"Come on Zhaan." Chiana said as they all began to walk the way to the storage room.

"No. Believe me, I love John with all my heart, but I can not bring myslef to kill another."

Chiana began to counter Zhaan's desision, but Aeryn put her hand on her shoulder, and shook her head no.

-----------------------------------------------------------

"This... this is a circle Mox! This can't be right!" John complained.

"No, cirlce square circle triangle." Moxlin answered.

"I thought it was square circle square triangle!" John asked.

"Shut up and do it!" Moxlin answered. John pressed the shapes in sequence on the door panel, and the door shout open, to reveal two Scarrans waiting for them. At that time the tiny creature pounces on one of them, and a fire works spectacular goes off on the other. As one Scarrans falls, they see D'Argo, Aeryn, Saffron, Enra, and Chiana all had pulse rifles shooting it. John turned to the dog like creature as she got up and wiped the blood from her mussle.

"E'lara, I presume?" Crichton asks.

"Yes." Moxlin answered.

"Come on, we have to get outta..." Aeryn says as she's interrupted by the sirens.

"A lil late for that, ain't it Moxy?" John asks.

"They know your back. The storage exit is swarmin with troops now." Moxlin answered.

"Then what's the next best way out?" Chiana asks.

"The hangar."
*****************************************

"ARE YOU INSAINE!?" John yelled. "Moxlin, this planet won't be around much longer, and we can't leave all these people on this planet just to die, going to that hangar will give us no time to warn them!"

"The peacekeepers will evacuate everyone. I promise." Moxlin answerd.

Aeryn looked around at the silent group. "Well it can't be any worse than Crichton's plans." It was kinda decided then and there, and they stormed down the corridor mutilating Scarrans as they went. All of them had to be impressed with themselves, they were like their own lil group of commandos. But as they entered the hangar, the gravity of the situtation began to sink in. It was like a warehouse, and millions of Scarrans were waiting for them. They all paniced. Enra ran one way, John ran another, and by some stroke of luck John and Aeryn ended up behind the same crate.

"Babe, it's times like these I wish I were on the bad guys team." Crichton said to her, as to say he was sorry. At that time he heard a expolsion, and a familiar sound:

"FFFFFRRRRRRIIIIILLLLL YAYAYAYAYA!!!!"

Crichton had heard it before, but this time it was different. He turned around to see Fergin, in a black trench coat and a cowboy hat curled in one side holding the most unusal weapon he had ever seen.

"Hell, it's the Crocidile Dundee of the Uncharted Territories." Crichton yelled.

Following Fergin came a swarm of uniformed men. They all took their positions and began returning fire to the Scarrans. One of them kept his head low and made his way to Crichton.

"Captain Larraq, we began a search for you when you didn't return from recon. We were unable to find you, but luckily this Nebari informed us that you had found a Scarran base and were preforming covert ops with a volunteer team. No wonder your a captain!" The private of the marauder yelled over the firing. D'Argo made his way towards Crichton.

"I never thought I'd be so happy to see Peacekeepers." D'Argo whispered into Crichtons ear.

"Um... private. My second-in-command has just informed that our vital information needs to get safely to the command carrier. Do you know a way out of here?" Crichton asked.

"Our men have cleared out the storage entrance." The private said.

"Thank you." Crichton yelled as he motioned to the others to follow. They all made there way through the storage room, even Fergin came. Zhaan was delighted to see everyone safe, and they immediately began to load up: D'Argo, Zhaan, Chiana, Saffron, and Enra. There was no more room!

"Me and Aeryn can take the Farscape, but what are we going to do about E'lara?" John asked.

"I can take care of her, they won't find her." Fergin answered.

"Well there's no time to argue E'lara... where's Moxlin?" John asked.

"FORGET HIM! TAKEOFF!" Aeryn yelled. They watched as the transport pod flew off, and Fergin and E'lara ran back to the bar. John and Aeryn moved down a few streets and fired the rockets on the module.

"Ohkay, everyone out!" Fergin yelled as everyone moved out of the revolving door. Initial lock down started, and the Nebari scoutship rocketed of the land it was on into the atmosphere.

-----------------------------------------------------------

"JOHN! AERYN! You made it!" Zhaan said happily as they walked onto command.

"TOO LATE!" Pilot yelled as the holograph showed a Scarran drednaught approching.

"Lock onto that Leviathan." Captain Kozak yelled on the bridge of his drednaught.

"Captain, vessel from the left!" One yelled. Fergin's ship fired apon the drednaught with it's main cannon, and all the Scarrans on the bridge fell over as the drednaught shook. "Entire Sector 3G down!" The Scarran yelled.

Fergin's ship kicked into high gear as it flew into the docking bay of Moya.

"Great! Pilot, prepare for starburst!" Saffron yelled at the clamshell. The blue light filled the ship as it ripped a hole through space and shot through.

-----------------------------------------------------------

"Ah, Moxlin my friend!" Scorpius said with delight as he greeted him on the command carrier. "What is our status with Crichton?"

"He is off the planet." Moxlin answered.

"Perfect." Scorpius said. About that time the private of the merauder walked up.

"You wanted to see me, sir?" The private asked.

"Yes, your decision to play along with Crichton's routine was... excellent. You have been promoted to commander."

"Thank you sir" The private said as he suluted Scorpius. Scorpius motioned to his dismissial and the the private left.

"Flag Commander, all elements vital to my research are out of danger, you may proceed with the assault. Use the planet for cover." Scorpius said into the comm on the wall. He began to walk out of the room.

"Scorpius, are we not going to evacuate the planet?" Moxlin asked. Scorpius turned his head to Moxlin and squinted his eyes...

"Why?"

The Peacekeepers and Scarrans met and proceeded with their attacks, destroying the face of the planet doing so.
